RECAP

Here is the recap of what me and my group are doing from major project 1.

Now, continuing to major project 2, we are to produce the board game that we have already did from major project 1, and to know how to market our board game if there is an exhibition.

Week 1
In week 1 of our meeting, we list down what essential should we focus on, as well as who is the person in charge, also when is the deadline and we also discuss with Ms.Vit on what things should we produced. Here is how our google sheet looks like in this week:

After showing it to Ms.Vit, we also asked where can we improve, and she gave us feedback on how we can improve our board game. We have to make it consistent.

Week 4
By this week, we have to get our design approved by Ms.Vit to start printing it. We asked feedback for the re-design card and she approved it. So we start printing the cards. I am also in charge of doing the box for the card and here is what it looks like:

When we are trying to do the laser cut, we met Mr.Sham and he gave us a little bit feedback on the packaging and also banner. He suggests that the packaging need to look more "game" packaging and the banner is not consistent with the packaging. From here, I tried to design another design for the packaging. This is how it looks like:

After designing it, we also ask Ms.Vit on which one she like the most, but she still thinks that our original design is better, so we decided to use the second design as our banner design. Here is how the banner design draft looks like:

After consulting with Ms.Vit, she thinks the first one better (up one), so we continue with that. The bottom one we just make it into a poster.

We also started printing our merchandise, which is our sticker sheet and acrylic keychain. I started to contact the seller of the acrylic keychain, and here is how it looks like:

Week 5
In week 5, we showed Ms.Vit all of the things that we have already produced and she likes it! We also show our Website progress, and she suggested us to have a "company" name, so we choose 4SEKAWAN as our company name. We also picked up our packaging from the shop, and print stickers for the minigames, instruction book, and posters.

For our acrylic dice, the seller didn't sent it, so we go with our plan B which is to buy plain acrylic and stick sticker to it.
Coin Dice

By this week, we mainly have all of our things ready to put together into a box.
All the minigames are also ready, we bought some at shopee and other at pasar seni.

Week 6
This week is just a finishing week, we show everything to Ms.Vit and let her give the feedback. The only issue we had is the separator inside the box, we need to re-do from a thick paper to a basal wood to make it more firm.

FINAL

REFLECTION

I am really happy to have my group with me to complete this project together. I am beyond grateful that I met them a year ago, and I truly believe we formed a great team. We divided the tasks quite evenly, and working on this final project with them was one of the best decisions I made.

Our communication skills were also very important throughout this process. We had to listen to each other's opinions and ideas before making any decisions. During this semester, I learned a lot, especially that we should not rush into doing everything too quickly. Instead, we need to think carefully and measure our ideas before executing them.

This project became one of the best memories I made during my time studying at Taylor’s. I had the opportunity to design the sticker sheet, the original divider, the packaging together with Jo, one of the posters, and the banner. Seeing our designs come to life was truly one of the best feelings I have ever experienced.
