INSTRUCTIONS


In task 4, we are to make our own brand guideline utilizing elements we have from our previous tasks. First, I do some research on what brand guidelines is. I look up through some links and try to think of how my layout going to be. Firstly, I drew up some sketch and here is the sketch : 



Then, I try to do the layout in indesign thinking about how much columns I wanted to use, and also the margins. Here is the first draft of my brand guidelines : 

The lecturer suggested me to put in more pictures, and for chapter 2 and 3, I need to have some text so it didn't look boring. I also add button to the navigation bar. Here is the second draft of my brand guidelines : 

After feedback, here is my third draft of brand guidelines, I also try to add buttons to it to make it interactive : 

Then, the lecturer asked me to make the navigation text smaller, also think of the layout in chapter 2 and 3, and here is my final brand guideline.

REFELCTION

Completing this task turned out to be more challenging than I initially thought. Before starting, I think it would just involve arranging the layout for all the elements, and that would be it. However, as I worked on it, I realized there’s so much more to consider. We need to make sure the viewers clearly understand our brand, carefully define the brand’s theme, and make sure the brand guidelines are engaging and not boring. Despite the challenges, I found this task to be incredibly enjoyable. The group tutorials were especially helpful, as they allowed me to see how others approached their brand guidelines, sparking fresh ideas and inspiration for my own work.
