FINAL DESIGN

figure 4.1 "Hope and Despair" Final Design

In my artwork, I split the circle to show two different sides of our oceans. One side is bright and full of life, with clear blue waters and animals swimming happily. This side represents how the ocean looks like when it's healthy. But on the other side of the circle, things look much worse. The water is dirty and filled with trash, and the animals are sick and struggling to survive. This shows what can happen when people don't take care of the ocean and do things that harm it, for example polluting. There are also hands reaching out in the left side. This hand symbolize that people have to protect the clean ocean. While the right side of the hand are covering the artwork meaning that we need to stop harming the ocean. Overall, my artwork is meant to make people feel empathy and understand why it's so important to take care of our oceans. It's a call to action to inspire people to think about how their actions affect marine life and to work together for a healthier ocean. The design principles I've used is emphasis. The central circle serves as the focal point, emphasizing its importance in conveying the message. Each element is carefully crafted to complement each other, creating unity and harmony to it. The sea creatures are depicted with a sense of movement, enchanting the dynamic feel of the artwork. Additionally, there are repetition as seen in the rubbish. (244 words)

FEEDBACK

Week 5 : I asked the lecturer through teams to choose from 3 of my sketches, and she said number 1 and 3 sketches are better and I can try to digitalize it.
Week 6 : The lecturer asked me to explore more of my design 1, she asked me to looked up to "dystopia".
Week 7 : The line on my artwork need to be wavy so its more natural, other than that, the colors of the fish need to be change, the color of the background is too heavy and think of the hand wether it is need or not.
