Task 1 : Thematic Interactive Website Proposal

INSTRUCTIONS


Thematic Interactive Website Proposal for Brand Engagement. A thematic interactive website is a website that focuses on a specific theme or concept with the aim of incorporating interactive elements to interact with users. Most such websites utilize multimedia such as videos, animations, interactive graphics displayed on the page, or other clickable elements which have interactive components that provoke the user. This dynamic experience is meant to keep the user interested in addition to the thematic concept. Themes in such websites vary from educational, cultural, promotional campaigns to product launch. For example, a thematic interactive site could be a museum. Users can go through a virtual exhibition space through interactive tours, games simulation, or questionnaires. In the event that it is a movie, the site can simulate movie universes offering virtual tours through time and space, or any other subject previously created in the movie. The aim of any such site is to keep the user engaged in the medium through interactive exploration.

Requirements
Students are required to create a thematic interactive website proposal with the topic of their choice that can be based on:
1. A specific product of a particular brand launch/special (i.e.: Nike brand new shoe), Beauty product launch (i.e.: Sephora compact powder,
2. Movie promotion
3. Game release promotion.
4. Gallery/Museum exhibit launch
5. Band/Artist latest release.
Or anything else you have in mind (subject to the module coordinator’s approval)

I came out with 5 different theme for this project which are : 
  • Jennie mantra - new song (introducing the artist, her songs, pop up with the new song which is mantra)
  • Meovv group - Kpop new group (introducing the artists one by one, their biography, their debut song)
  • Redrose record - record label (introducing the record label, their history, followed by their artists in the label, biography, and their song)
  • New woman - new song (introducing the artists, her songs, pop up with the new song which is new woman)
  • Eyelash curler mad for makeup - new product (introduce the brand, what have they ever made, introduce the new product)
After discussing with Mr.Shamsul, we decided on the second one, which is Meovv group.

Research 
Meovv (pronounced "Meow"; Korean: 미야오; RR: Miyao, stylized in all caps) is a South Korean girl group formed and managed by The Black Label. The group consists of five members: Sooin, Gawon, Anna, Narin, and Ella. They debuted on September 6, 2024, with the release of their digital single "Meow".

For the concept, I try to go with streetwear style, as from what I have seen, Meovv group are associated with that. For the elements in the website itself, I will mainly cover the members' introduction, as well as leading it to their first song which is "Meow."

Week 3 :
Mr.Shamsul said that I need to really think about the concept that link to meovv group, as well as the typeface I choose. The website need to be not so simple.

REFLECTION

Doing this task makes me learn and explore what actually an interactive website is. Choosing the theme for my upcoming interactive website are also fun because I could explore lots of potential theme according to what I like. Doing animate tutorial in class is also fun although sometime it is a little bit confusing don't know what to press.
